Aqua Vida Custom Pools designs and builds inground swimming pools throughout Kane County and the Fox Valley: Geneva, St. Charles, Batavia, and surrounding Illinois towns. Every build is quoted individually after a site visit, because pool type, site access, decking and features move the number more than anything else. After permits, vinyl and fiberglass builds take about 6-12 weeks and gunite 3-6 months. Because our build season runs roughly April through November, the right time to start the design conversation is the fall or winter before you want to swim.

Yes. Residential pools require building and electrical permits, often plumbing permits, and code-compliant barrier fencing. Requirements differ by municipality: Geneva, St. Charles, and Batavia each run their own process. We handle the permitting as part of the project.
Fall or winter. Design, permitting, and scheduling all happen before excavation, and spring is when every other homeowner calls. Starting the conversation in the off-season is the difference between swimming in June and swimming in August.
All three do when they are installed and winterized correctly for freeze-thaw. Vinyl has the lowest entry price but needs a new liner every 8-12 years. Fiberglass has the lowest lifetime maintenance but is limited to shell sizes that can be trucked in. Gunite gives you any shape and depth you want and asks for the most ongoing care.
Yes. Decking and patio work is often 15-25% of a pool project, and Illinois requires code-compliant barrier fencing, so we coordinate those alongside the build rather than leaving you to line up separate trades.
